Why Reconnect With Your Body?

I noticed at some point that the highest functioning, hard-working, multi-talented people I knew were experiencing life-changing illnesses.

I believe our bodies hold onto chronic micro traumas, stress, and old negative conditioning.

This manifests as a dysfunctional autonomic nervous system, which affects all bodily functions.

The more productive we are, the more we distract ourselves with our productivity, success, and responsibilities.

For years, we don't notice anything is wrong. Slowly, we experience unexplainable symptoms or illness.

Reconnecting with our bodies is integral to letting go of old stress or chronic micro-trauma.

Our body is better at healing our body than our mind (which got us into this mess.)

What do I do?

I meet with people who want to reconnect with their body. This involves a discussion followed by guided mediation. We notice tension or discomfort in the body, explore it, and listen to the body's insights. The goal is to slowly let go of the tension, fears, and old beliefs in order to create space.

We discuss any current symptoms, triggers, or negative thoughts.

We dive into our body through guided meditation.

We notice where we are holding stress/tension in our body, connect with it, and listen to it.

We sometimes find old beliefs causing fear or anxiety.

We listen to our body's insights and wisdom, and let go of negative energy.

You May Feel...

I just keep going without looking at the big picture or where I'm going.

I'm striving so hard to do my best at everything, but I'm not sure why.

I think I stay disconnected from my body and my truth because I'm so busy, but actually I stay perpetually busy because I'm disconnected from my body.

I put things in my body (sugar, alcohol) because I subconsciously want to disconnect from my mind.

I am not quite sure how to "let go" of negative thoughts or feelings.

My mind tells my body what it wants. My mind tells my body what to do.

I spend my whole life in my head so I don't realize that I am not present in my body or my life.

My daily activities do not always reflect my priorities or what I enjoy.
